About the hotel...
Amor de Mar is located at the mouth of the Montezuma
river on a rocky point overlooking the Pacific coastline.
The river
cascades down the mountainside directly
behind the hotel, creating waterfalls and pools of all sizes. It's like
a "natural spa" in our backyard. The hotel has
11 unique different rooms, ranging from $50+ tax
to
$110 + tax in the high season and $40+ tax to $95 + tax
in the low season.
One of the unique features of Amor de Mar is its
architecture, built in solid exotic hardwoods with
beautiful artistic touches. The friendly and caring
staff of Amor de Mar adds to the charming
and relaxing atmosphere. English, Spanish, French, Swedish and
German are all spoken by our hotel staff.
Amor de Mar operates on eco-friendly principles.
We only use 100% biodegradable cleaning materials,
dishwash and laundry soap. We recycle and encourage
visitors to refill their water bottles in our lobby.

Amor de Mar is active in supporting many community projects
such as: the recycle center, the childrens orchestra, the local school, and improvement of local infrastructure. The hotel features the work of many talented local artisans, displayed in our lamps, woodwork, decorations and mosaics.

Our Restaurant...
Breakfast and lunch are
served in our restaurant overlooking
the ocean. Homemade bread, homemade jam, yogurt, fresh tropical fruit, fruit juices, egg dishes, european style open faced sandwiches,
and crepes are prepared fresh daily.
For dinner a variety of very good restaurants are available to
choose from in Montezuma.

Our tide pool
A big lawn slopes down to the water and hammocks are strung under the palm trees. An ideal spot for relaxing and watching the waves crash onto the rocks. Sandy beaches are a short walking distance on either side. Right out in front of the hotel in the lava rocks is a tide pool large enough for swimming. It is home to small fish and crabs.
A great place to safely explore marine life.
